The bubble is back!
From a job posting on SimplyHired.com:
Will serve as a Human Factors Engineer/Graphical User Interface designer for a start-up company. (**Please note that compensation for this position is in company stock initially, as the company is pre-funded. Candidate can work on a part-time basis, nights, weekends, etc. Salary will be available upon completion of funding. Most work can be done from home.)

Oh, joy. Out of interest, do you *really* believe it is/will be back this time round? If so, on the same scale?
Great session at d.Construct BTW - always enjoy your sessions.
Cheers,
Dave
Ahh, those were the days ;-)
They'll be inundated with applications.

p.s. Agree with Dave above - excellent d.Construct presentation. Come back to Brighton next year!
I seriously hope that they receive zero responses. These kind of "jam tomorrow" offers are laughable. I remember those days when every other enquiry I'd get to develop a new site/app would be based on possible funding if the site took off. No thanks. I remember trying to warn fellow designers and developers away from these type of "opportunities".
Generally speaking, I think anyone who is willing and able to work for nothing (except a vain hope) is probably not on top of their game and any company who can't spend what would likely these days be a few grand to develop a test site is probably to be avoided. I mean, who's taking the risk?!
Ah, ah!
"Salary will be available upon completion of funding" - the new way, work first and maybe later you will be paid?
The only thing missing is the promise of stock options available, of course, around that same time as the salary...
Sort of like the Crusades. Just wait til we get to the Promised Land...
