JJG gets a Rave

I couldn't be happier that Jesse James Garrett has won a Wired Rave award for his popularization of Ajax. JJG and I were both founders at Adaptive Path, which gave me the opportunity to see how he thinks and evolves ideas -- from his first chart on the Elements of User Experience to the resulting book, his visual vocabulary for interaction design, and his work on collaboration as Pillars of Successful Teams.

Ajax may be Jesse's hit single; but his full catalog is truly impressive.

I think of it like Denzel Washington getting the Academy Award. Sure, it says Training Day on the statue, but it's for a life-time of work.

Which is not to say he's dead.

I didn't mean to suggest that either were dead. They're not.
