The Web 2.0 Checklist
Michael outlines the Web 2.0 product roadmap (while proving Ta-da List a capable blogging tool).
Measure Map hits 13 of 20. Not bad, considering we built our own map...

Looks kinda sarcastic to me.
And you look quite optimistic to me :P
I guess the "Cartmanland factor" is really the in-thing today, huh? Talk about curiosity killing the cat!
"Share with a friend" - selling out your friend's email address - is SOoo 1.0.
Besides your friend already found it on Digg or Veen.com. ;)
Ok, here's a different approach. There seems to be a lot of confusion in the Web community about what is Web 1.0 and what is Web 2.0. Since application development is iterative and the Web certainly didn't change overnight, I say it is OK to refer to sites, applications, or concepts using subversions. For example:
Blogging = 1.5
RSS and Trackbacks = 1.7
Comment Spam = 1.8
Podcasts = 2.0We could even assign a composite scores to web sites based on established criteria. I hope this clears up any confusion.
Nice... I literally laughed out loud at half of those. (especially the beta/alpha one)
Why bother with a beta tag? So you have an excuse when something breaks? Is something ever truly bug free? Thanks google, for this phenomenon.
One thing I do have to comment on... the AdSense revenue stream. I never realized it, but adsense does have a lot to do with bringing about web 2.0. It has enabled developers to concentrate on the product and not on the revenue stream. This enables developers to freelance projects and be able to afford them. Neato!
It demands serious completion.
Agreed to Jimmy. Excellent!
Very interesting
