My earlier post on the densely designed Apple CPU Monitor prompted Gabriel Radic, whom I met last year in London, to take a crack at a redesign. Nice work, even if “Iddle” only has one “d”. ;)
Shortly after I read Gabriel’s email, fellow tall guy Matt Haughey sent along a pointer to iPulse. This, my friends, is information design on steroids. The data-per-pixel of this little app is astonishing. Though, I do find myself peaking frequently at the docs to remember just what the heck blue stands for.
All of this begs the question: how does one hack CPU Finder? The extent of my app customization extends only to ResEdit, and that’s certainly pre OS-X.
