The belly. It grows.

I’ve not been super great about keeping the internets abreast of this most recent of pregnancies in our household. One reason is because, well, who has time to remember all the intricacies of each exciting and foreign kick, each bout of horrible heartburn, each stolen moment in the day to quickly reflect on how much […]

Hopscotch our way

“Mommy, let’s play a game.”
We’re outside. She hands me the chalk. I haven’t played hopscotch in probably 20 years (and even then, I don’t know if I’ve ever really known the rules). So made-up hopscotch it is, Amy-style, with fun pictures and jumping in any ol’ square you want. Rules schmules.

Your autograph please?

My brother Greg was down to visit on Tuesday, and we met up with him for a quick trip to Disneyland. (Hey, if you’ve got season passes, it calls for a random day off mid-week sometimes to play!) When we got there, he gave Sophia this hilarious autograph book where essentially she goes around the […]

Let it rain

Breakfast and Little Piggies

I love the morning light in our dining room. I love the way Sophia sits on her feet to reach her breakfast (she has insisted on sitting at the big table with us–not in her high chair–since we moved in this summer). I love her golden hair in the sun. And I love that […]

Fish love

During her bath tonight, I caught Sophia making kissy noises with the fishies and saying “happily ever after . . .” I think it’s definitely time to cut her off the princess paraphernalia for awhile.

Christmas flash back

We had a fabulous Christmas this year. And even though I’m sure you’ve all moved on already to all things 2008, I’ve decided it’s still a relevant topic since we just took down our Christmas tree today. So, in mourning for packing away the stockings and tinsel until next time, I thought I’d share with […]
