Christmas flash back
We had a fabulous Christmas this year. And even though I’m sure you’ve all moved on already to all things 2008, I’ve decided it’s still a relevant topic since we just took down our Christmas tree today. So, in mourning for packing away the stockings and tinsel until next time, I thought I’d share with you a little wrap up of my favorite things about Christmas this year:

1. Hearing Sophia enthusiastically sing “Jing-ger Bells” for the whole month of December. And then watching her clam up at her preschool Christmas party like she’d never heard the song before in her life.

2. This ridiculously over-the-top (albeit very cute) Christmas hairdo! That’s what you get when you have a hair stylist in the family, I guess.

3. Having tons of out-of-town family around for Sophia to bond with.
4. Being pregnant and getting to eat whatever I want! (Well, kind of.)

5. Being off work for two whole weeks and, although we ran around a lot and had fun, Sophia and I also did A LOT of lounging in pajamas. Really. Today I finally threw on some jeans around 2pm. Awesome.

6. Experiencing the joy of Christmas through the eyes of a 2-year-old. Especially one evening on a drive through a neighborhood filled with lights with Sophia on my way home from work. “Ooooh, dis one, Mommy! I loooooove dat house!” Magical.

7. Amazing loot from a very thoughtful husband.

8. Having the two most fun people in the world to experience it all with.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and were able to slow down and experience peace amidst it all. I know we really did. Being pregnant really forced me to slow down this year, and I think I’m most thankful for that. Be well in this new year, and thanks for stopping by from time to time to see what we’re up to!

Sounds perfect to me. Glad you had a nice Christmas. It’s so much better when you have a child, isn’t it?
