Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

Sometimes you just gotta have cake . . . or, as was the case yesterday, big fat chocolate cupcakes!

We had an adorable celebration with Sophia and her little friends at her daycare yesterday in honor of her second birthday. It was fun to see her in her element, showing off all her newly-learned songs and skills and silliness.

But the best part about the little party had to be watching the awesome anticipation in Sophia’s eyes during the loooooong wait between candle blowing and cupcake eating.

I think it’s safe to say that the cupcake was definitely worth the wait!

What a fun way to start out a weekend that will be filled to the brim with festive birthday activities. I am a die-hard birthday fan, so it only makes sense that when such a sweet little girl turns 2, we should celebrate to the nines. With lots of chocolate, of course. And tiaras. All weekend long!

Happy big number 2, Sophia!
