Mirror, mirror, on the wall


This morning I laid Sophia gently down on the changing table to get her ready for the day.

“Good morning, sweetie!” I said. “How are you today?”

“I’m pretty!” she replied with her usual thick dose of charm.

Why, yes. Yes, you are. Hmm . . . I wonder how many times I say that to her a day? All those times of also telling her she’s smart, has great rhythm and always makes me laugh? Of course all the girl remembers is “I’m pretty!” Wouldn’t you?

Frankly, she is drop dead gorgeous! But that is just one grandma’s opinion.

It was fun having Sophia’s Grammy visit, we sat and bragged all day about our granddaughter, and no one complained as we share that one beautiful girl!
