So many crayons, so little time
The talented Kate Rosenthal of Stubby Pencil Studio fame is still at it, creating adorable, ‘do-it-themselves’ stationary for children.
You might remember back in March when I first started raving about the creative note cards from the Stubby Pencil Studio line Color n’ Kids. They are the perfect solution for this working mom who wants to feel like I’m being the creative mom I know I am, even though I don’t have the time to actually “create” cards myself. Enter Kate, with her super cute black-and-white outlines of aliens and puppies and birthday cakes (and many other images that are oh-so-adorably kid-centric). Sophia simply has to scribble her own colorful birthday greetings and thank you notes just by coloring in the pre-printed images. Brilliant!
I was excited to get these cards earlier in the year, and they have proven themselves as useful as I had hoped they’d be for a habitually procrastinating mom. (I can’t count the number of Sophia-drawn birthday cards that have been commissioned only minutes before departing for party festivities!)
Sophia loves to color. I love providing her with an outlet to express herself. And everyone who has received a purple dog or green chicken or black birthday cake colored lovingly by my daughter has adored it. Everybody wins.
Kate just sent me a batch of her new cute custom-designed note cards from her Wink n’ Curtsy line, and it’s safe to say I’m in love with them, too. Sophia’s first personalized stationary, complete with the blonde pigtails. So sweet. And it’s also safe to say that at only a little over a dollar a card, I can keep Sophia coloring and me feeling quasi-creative with these for a really long time.

love this! I especially like your shot of Sophia coloring! She is so focused! We bought some of those color safe markers–they only color on special paper–but Stella seems to think she’s just gotten six new teething toys!
