Sweet Child of Elmo
Tonight, Chris turned on some 80s music after dinner while Sophia was playing (classic Chris, I know). It was pretty much the good stuff for the most part — OMD, Erasure, A-Ha. But unfortunately, the playlist gods cannot always be in our favor and soon Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child of Mine” came on. At that same moment, Sophia happened to get her hands on the singing Elmo toy we had hidden at the bottom of her toy box (aka the spawn of Satan) and began pressing the play button over and over again.
It was the perfect storm . . .
In that moment in time, Elmo and Axl Rose’s voices began beating my brain into submission with their freaky high-pitched duet, and I realized something I had never before known until now. Elmo and Axl are indeed the same person. I wonder if it’s ever been confirmed.
