All fun and games . . .

Day 21: Black & White Ballerina Sophia is in a major make-believe stage right now. And I have to say, I absolutely love this part of toddlerhood.

I love the play bottle-feeding of her baby. I love the mimicking of “nap-times”, when she begs to be let into her crib or up on our bed for some pretend “nigh-nighs”. I love when she puts her small army of bears and elephants to “sleep”, and upon walking into her room during this ritual, I get a stern “Shhhush!” from the little miss. (Yes, I am now getting shushed by my 18-month-old.) And I love the little penguin waddle and turtle crawl and duck quack she has adopted, absolutely convinced that she IS each animal when the transformation is taking place.

Also, how does a child this young know to pick up her purse and pretend to go shopping? I think I have her grandmas to thank for that.
A big fan of her stuffed bears

this just confirms my fear that Stella will pick up all my habits: good and bad. Sophia is so adorable in all these pictures! we’ll have to chat about the whole make-up thing sometime. Stella just is mezmorized by make-up brushes and what I’m doing with them. Sigh.
