Sometimes you just gotta dance!
Big plans for Valentine’s Day yesterday, you ask? Chris forgot that he had committed to helping out a friend last night with his youth group. Since he had set it up weeks ago, he totally forgot about the fact that it landed on Valentine’s Day, the one night a year when husbands are actually required to date their wives. He made up for it by whipping his girls up some comfort homemade mac n’ cheese before he left (I love me a man who can cook!), and Sophia MORE than forgave him by licking her plate clean.

But what to do with the rest of the evening? And all those calories? No worries…Sophia and I had a great time celebrating with just the two of us. We cranked up some tunes — Aretha Franklin and Squirrel Nut Zippers were what the doctor ordered last night — and busted out some fun hats from the costume box. I’m tellin’ ya, that girl’s got some moves! We had a blast and, of course, a blog post about it wouldn’t be complete without tons of photos.
But like I said last year, before I had a baby, V-day was way low-key and I could joke around about it and pretend to not take it too seriously. Post-baby though, I’m just all about the cheesy love!
