Creative Daddy Days
Since Chris works from home, he is currently the primary caregiver for Sophia during the week. Luckily, we usually have both grandmas around on their designated days to help babysit so he can actually get his work done. We’ve worked hard to always have one parent around at home so that Sophia is always being taken care of by family members.
This normally works great. That is, until our moms both happened to go away on trips at the same time this month. This left Chris with a LOT of one-on-one time with the kid.

At first, he was having a blast with all his daddy days. But after reading every book we own 26 times and realizing that the biggest decision of his day was bananas or goldfish crackers for snack, he knew something had to be done to keep him from going completely delirious. He also knew that having a daughter meant he would have to get in touch with his inner feminity. The result was a hilarious week of playtime adventure between daddy and daughter.
When I came out of the bedroom one morning last week, Sophia had panty liners stuck to the front of her. “What?” replied my husband sheepishly. “She loves stickers! And these had flowers on the back!”
When I returned home from work one evening, Sophia’s hair was covered in barrettes. (Next step: this adorable Sprite commercial) “She wanted her hair done. But she wanted it done HER way!” he cheerfully defended as I walked in the door.
Have I mentioned I adore this man?

Aaaah! That’ adorable! Chis is such a great Daddy!
