Storyboards: Making me look more creative than I really am
I have become quite addicted to the art of making storyboards. I’ve never been one to sit down and create scrapbooks. I think it has a lot to do with my insane perfectionism and OCD tendencies. I could just never make those darn things look professional enough for my liking. Call me crazy, but spending hours on just one page of a scrapbook makes my mind reel thinking of all the other things I could be doing with that time. I guess I’m definitely a tech geek because once I figured out how to do the same type of thing on the computer with my digital (key word) photos, I was sold!
I don’t talk a lot here about photography or the photos I shoot of my daughter (besides in reference to a particular story or event I’m blogging about) because I save all my photo talk for our digital photography blog, Shooting the Kids. But I decided it would be fun to have a page here where I can feature some of the storyboards I’ve created. (See Storyboard link on the top menu for future reference and for links on how to create your own.) They’re definitely not spectacular, but I know when I see other people’s projects, I tend to get inspired.
Hopefully, this page will inspire you to get creative, too! And by all means, if you’ve got a cool project or storyboard you want to share, include a link in the comments.

Thanks for this great info!
I was like you and was doing scrapbooking for many years. Don’t get me wrong I loved doing it; I think it’s great, but it took a long time to do all the pages and photos and when I was finished I couldn’t shut the scrapbook very well! Also in a month or two when you go to show your family and friends, things have fallen out!
Then I stumbled across Microsoft Powerpoint. So I created a digital scrapbook in there! Then I did one for my friend, and then one for my sister’s wedding, and it went on from there! But it takes only a fraction of the time! The best thing is that you can have flashing colours, music and captions. It’s great fun!
I will definitely give this storyboading a try now as well, and I’ll keep you posted on how it goes, thanks!
PS. Sophia is soooo cute!
