That girl knows how to party

We threw a big ol’ birthday bash for Sophia on Sunday, and I’m only just now recuperated enough to get some photos up. Man, it was HOT! I think it topped over 100 degrees this weekend. Luckily we used our car port for shade and scored on a huge kid pool for the minis. Still, it was hot. But Sophia didn’t care at all. She had her face shoved into her cake for a good portion of the party. That girl sure does love the sugar.

Her official birthday isn’t until Thursday, but she didn’t mind celebrating early at all. And like Chris said at the party, we are so thankful for everyone who has helped us out this year while we figured this whole parenting thing out. In fact, one might even venture to say we’re getting the hang of it. There are so many people who have supported us every step of the way, and we feel very blessed. It’s fun to watch Sophia grow, but it’s even more fun to share her life with all of you.

Thanks, everyone, for your love and support! And happy birthday to my sweet baby.

for the record it was 104!!! Yikes.

And as far as thanking people goes, its not neeeded. The fact that so many people turned up in 104 weather just says alot about who you guys are, and who you have chosen to have as friends. You guys are great. Thank YOU for sharing. I love being a part of something that special.
