We can dance if we want to…
Things I want to remember about Sophia’s hilariously fun age right now:
1. Doing the Safety Dance on daddy’s lap. “S-s-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f-f E-e-e-e T-t-t-t Y-y-y-y!” Thinking of Chris morphing our daughter’s little arms into the shape of an S makes me giggle like a little kid!
2. Rolling all over the living room. We’re trying to get her used to her belly so that she will someday learn to crawl. So I put, just out of reach, her favorite toy, which we lovingly named Box. (It’s cube-shaped. Our creative brilliance only goes so far.) Instead of scooting or crawling to get Box, she’ll roll herself there. It’s hilarious to watch her maneuver her way around a room just by turning herself over again and again. That is, until she gets stuck under the coffee table.
3. Sitting up. It’s unbelievable when your baby finally learns to sit up on her own. It is definitely my first glimpses of her independence. It’s mind-blowing and heart-breaking all at the same time! Sigh. But I can say that life is so much easier and more fun now that she can sit up. We can all interact on a new level. We can play with new (and better) toys. And mealtimes are more of a family moment. And on that note…
4. Eating solids. This has got to be hands down the funniest thing in the world to watch an infant do while they’re still figuring out the chew/swallow one-two punch. It goes in. It comes out. It ends up everywhere. Dog is happy.

that picture is THE definition of darling. she is amazingly cute! wowser! definately her mothers daughter
