California girls!

Talk about a couple of beach bums.

It’s so fun when your friends have kids, too. One of my best friends, Jaimie, also just had a daughter about a month ago. So last week we decided to teach our girls about the important things in life - namely, hanging out with good friends over a latte and lounging at the beach.

Jaimie and I used to live on the Balboa Peninsula during our first whirlwind year out of college. It was an amazing experience to have the beach a block away, and I think it got into our blood because we still go back every chance we get.

Of course, you can’t exactly see the excitement of Sophia and Justice as they sunbathe. The sound of the waves and the warmth of the afternoon sun put them right to sleep.

I can’t think of a better way to get rid of the winter blues!

Hi Amy,
I LOVE this website! You’ve done a great job! Now that David and I are expecting, of course, I have an overwhelming interest in anyone who has just gone through the experience of giving birth. Sophia looks absolutely beautiful and I’m jealous that it looks like she’s getting to soak up more beach and sun than myself lately. :) Congratulations to both you and Chris. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Amy,
I’ve been missing the beach terribly the last few weeks and this compounded my desire to hear the waves crash and smell the salty air - yesterday I thought I heard a seagull in our backyard - to my disappointment, it turned out to be a goose heading south for the winter ( a bit late!) Anyway, enjoy the beach!! Take care and I’d love to see another pic of Jamie’s baby if you have one.
