Sleep rules!

The illustrious day has finally arrived. And much sooner than I thought it would, actually. My wonderful baby is sleeping through the night! We’re talking good old-fashinoned, down home 7pm-7am sleep. The first night this happened, earlier this week, I wasn’t so sure. I was convinced it was a fluke and if I mentioned it to anyone the lords of fate would jinx me and my sleep-filled nights would disappear. But then it happened the next night. And again. And 4 nights later, I think it’s safe to say that my baby likes to sleep. Like really likes to sleep.

And I am forever grateful!

that RULES!!!! some moms may think you are a bragger. you may want to keep that on the down-low. my two kids sleep at least 12 hours and have since about sophia’s age, but apparently this is not always the case and the glares you get from the sleepless folk aren’t always so fun. it must be that good ol’ dutch thing? sophia, i am so proud of you! you keep up the good work!

We’d be the bitter ones who snarled in the corner but smiled politelly…Silas didn’t do that sleeping all night thing until he was 9 months!! Fiona is at 7 months and still not there yet. She sleeps pretty well (and is better than Silas was…Mr. Wake-Up-At-4A.M.-To-Watch-Barney Boy).

We ARE happy for you. The no sleep thing sucks big time. Praise God for sleep.

So what if she can sleep the whole night. Show me a baby that can sit through church without crying and I will be impressed. Oh wait, can’t Chloe already do that trick?
