Being Homeless and Wired.
Crystal Evans is a homeless blogger. She is also very young. She’s getting a lot of negative feedback from her postings about living on the streets.
Her response:
I just want you to see my journal and see a ‘real’ homeless person.
we have feelings too.
we have frustrations.
we don’t deserve to be ignored.
we want to be listened to.
we are human beings.
we all have a story.
please don’t stereotype us.
But she is also getting a ton of exposure - from other blogs, local newspapers, college speaking gigs, and even The Village Voice - which seems to be improving (or as some argue, discrediting) her situation. You should read her story.
